Where and when is the event?
Location: Newport International Polo Grounds, 250 Linden Lane, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Our tailgate will begin at 4pm. Gates open at 3pm. The match will start at 5pm and lasts about 2 hours. Look for the SWE-NESS banner to find our tailgate tent!
What is Newport Polo’s All Charity Day Benefit Match?
The Newport International Polo Series 8th annual All Charity Day will be on Sunday, July 14, 2024, as a fun afternoon for supporters of dozens of non-profit organizations to enjoy exciting polo action and a convivial outdoor experience to benefit local civic and charitable causes.
Who is invited?
All are welcome to join in the fun so invite a friend! Children under 15 enter for free.
What is included with my ticket?
Your ticket includes admission to the Newport Polo Grounds for the match and access to the SWE-NESS reserved tailgate section. SWE-NESS will host a potluck-style tailgate. Look for the SWE-NESS banner to find our tailgate tent! We invite everyone to participate and bring your favorite tailgate specialties to share. SWE-NESS will supply paper plates, napkins and utensils. Please note the venue’s trash policy is carry in carry out. You are encouraged to bring your own beverages and wear your favorite SWE logo attire. We will offer a complimentary champagne toast at half time following the traditional stomping of the divots!
What should I bring?
We recommend that you bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on while you watch the game.
The venue welcomes you to bring your own food, beverage (non-alcoholic and alcoholic), pets, and yard games. The attire is “Newport Casual Chic”. If you would like to join in the potluck, please bring a dish to share.
What happens if it rains?
There is no make-up day if it rains on Sunday July 15th and the game is canceled. Since your ticket sale is being donated to a good cause, there are no refunds.
